New York, July 17 (BNA): The high-level delegation of the Kingdom ofBahrain participated at in the opening of the United Nations High-LevelPolitical Forum 2023 held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, underthe theme “Accelerating the recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19)and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

The opening was attended by the Secretary-General ofthe United Nations Antonio Guterres and the President of the United NationsEconomic and Social Council Lachezara Stoeva, alongside delegations of theparticipating countries. 

The high-level Bahraini delegation in attendance,included the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Amna bint Ahmed AlRomaihi, the Minister of Sustainable Development, Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, andDr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa Undersecretary for Political Affairs atthe Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Zakareya Ahmed Al Khaja Deputy ChiefExecutive of Electronic Transformation at the Information and E-GovernmentAuthority.

Ambassador Jamal Al Rowaiei, the PermanentRepresentative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations, and a number ofofficials also attended the meetings.
