Housing Ministry launches new initiative to provide real estate and financing support and advice for citizens
11/11/2025
Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Housing and Urban Planning Minister, announced the launch of a new initiative at the Customer Service Centre aimed at enhancing support for citizens benefiting from the Housing Finance Programme.
Under the initiative, real estate companies and banks will be hosted at the centre to provide advice and financing solutions to citizens seeking housing options through the programme.
The minister said the step reflects the ministry’s commitment to offering a wider range of housing choices in partnership with the private sector, noting that it forms part of ongoing efforts to develop and improve services provided to citizens.
She added that Bareeq Al Retaj Company and the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait will be the first to take part in the initiative, offering exclusive real estate and financing packages over the next two months. The partnership, she said, represents a practical example of the fruitful collaboration between the ministry and the private sector.
Al Rumaihi said that the initiative creates a convenient, integrated experience for visitors by bringing together representatives from the ministry, the Eskan Bank and private sector institutions under one roof. This allows citizens to apply for financing and receive consultations either in person or through digital channels, including the eGovernment portal and the ministry’s website.
The minister highlighted that the initiative will make it easier for citizens to access suitable housing by streamlining procedures and providing tailored financing and advisory services.
She emphasised that the ministry continues to adopt a forward-looking approach to service delivery, centred on direct engagement with citizens and the introduction of flexible, innovative housing solutions that align with government efforts to provide sustainable and accessible housing.
Al Rumaihi noted that the new initiative builds on a series of successful programmes, including three editions of the Housing Finance Exhibition, which showcased financing options and real estate projects, and the exhibition held alongside the Social Housing Innovation Conference, which presented creative housing solutions. The ministry has also introduced a mobile branch in shopping malls to bring its services closer to citizens across the Kingdom.
She added that the ministry plans to expand the initiative in the coming period to include more real estate companies and national banks, promoting competitiveness in financing and housing offers while supporting sustainable housing development.
The ministry invited citizens to visit the Customer Service Centre to explore the latest offers and benefit from the services available, affirming its commitment to initiatives that place citizens at the centre of the housing process.
