Health Ministry launches virtual genomics clinic as part of efforts to improve service quality and redesign services

As part of government efforts to improve service quality and redesign services, the Ministry of Health has developed its Genetic Counselling Clinic service by launching a new virtual genomics clinic to provide remote medical consultations. The service aims to improve access to specialised genetic counselling in line with the latest medical standards.

The updated service reduces the process to four steps and cuts the completion time from six months to five days. Improvements also include reducing the required documents by 50%, reducing the service-level agreement by at least 25%, limiting the application process to a maximum of four steps, improving existing systems and standardising service information across all channels.
