26/08/2025 Social Development Ministry launches store to support productive families The Ministry of Social Development has launched "Al Ayadi Al Bahrainia" store (Bahraini Hands), showcasing products made by productive families, at the Mubarak bin Jassim Kanoo Comprehensive Social Centre in Sanabis. The initiative forms part of the Ministry’s strategy to support productive Bahraini families, enhance their contribution to the national economy, and provide sustainable marketing outlets that expand consumer access and improve product quality and project management. Enas Mohammed Al Majed, Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development at the ministry, emphasised that the new store complements existing outlets, including the Ministry’s Capital Mall, by showcasing local creativity, strengthening confidence in Bahraini products, and reinforcing values of innovation and productivity. She noted that dedicated spaces at the centre have been allocated for displaying and marketing products by productive families, in line with Bahrain’s focus on encouraging community entrepreneurship and promoting innovation in self-employment. Al Majed underscored the Ministry’s commitment to programmes that empower productive families, enhance home-based and traditional industries, improve quality standards, and boost competitiveness in local and international markets.
