Manama, Nov. 29 (BNA): The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning announced the launch of the official Muharraq City Development Plan page on its website, alongside a guideline for urban heritage reconstruction.

The plan comes in implementation of the orders of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to revive the historical and cultural identity of Bahrain’s buildings and cities and Isa Al Kabeer Palace and to develop Muharraq in a manner that preserves its historical and cultural identity; and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to government agencies to initiate a plan to implement the royal orders.

Donia Sarhan, the Assistant Undersecretary, Resources and Information at Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning said the website highlights the plan's objectives and components, posts updates on its progress, and answer frequently asked questions.
