01/07/2026

Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, announced that the 15th edition of Youth City 2030 will launch on July 12 with 256 training programmes and 10,650 training opportunities, marking the largest edition since the initiative was launched.

The Minister said Youth City 2030 is expected to attract more than 6,000 young participants, compared with 5,309 last year, while the number of training opportunities will increase from 6,953 in 2025 to 10,650 this year. The programme will offer 256 training programmes, compared with around 230 last year, including more than 150 new programmes focused on future skills and promising sectors.

Organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in cooperation with the strategic partner, the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), the initiative is expected to bring together more than 105 partners from the public, private and civil sectors, expanding the range of opportunities and experiences available to Bahraini youth.

The Minister said this year's edition will provide training across five main areas: the Entrepreneurship and Leadership Centre, the Arts and Culture Centre, the Science and Technology Centre, the Media and Digital Innovation Centre, and the Sports City, which will be managed in cooperation with the private sector.

She called on Bahraini youth to benefit from the opportunities offered by Youth City 2030 to develop their skills, gain practical experience and enhance their readiness for the labour market.
