The Ministry of Education launched a dedicated webpage on its official website (moe.gov.bh) introducing the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme in government schools, with the aim of providing students and parents with comprehensive information about the programme and supporting the development of educational outcomes in line with international standards.
The webpage includes an overview of the programme and its educational objectives, alongside the advantages of obtaining an IB qualification for admission to higher education institutions locally and internationally.
It also outlines the implementation of the programme in government schools, the approved curricula, nomination criteria and procedures, and the list of participating schools, in addition to guidance for students interested in enrolling in the programme.
The ministry invited students and parents to review the programme details and requirements through the dedicated page and adhere to the registration period from April 14 to 21. The ministry will contact parents of students who meet the nomination and assessment criteria, with the first cohort scheduled to begin the programme in September.
