During the virtual meeting, Al-Ansari stressed that achieving a high level of social security is a top priority for the Kingdom of Bahrain to further boost women’s participation in decision-making, shaping the future, dealing with challenges and the 4th industrial revolution and handling the novel health crisis.

She pointed out that the Kingdom of Bahrain realized early the importance of men and women’s participation in a successful and sustainable development march.

The SCW Secretary General stressed that the plans in dealing with coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic are being carried out seriously and responsibly despite numerous challenges and hardships. She pointed out the remarkable and influential role of Bahraini women in facing the pandemic at all levels.

She also emphasised the importance of activating Beijing Declaration which points, among its clauses, to the fact that “local, national, regional and global peace is attainable and is inextricably linked with the advancement of women, who are a fundamental force for leadership, conflict resolution and the promotion of lasting peace at all levels”.

“We share with you looking forward to the future with a lot of hope for a world that regains its health and development in the fastest time and preserves the security, dignity and health of our women and their families.

Let us re-embody the essence of our international cooperation in times of crises to keep the lessons of this experience engraved in the memory of this glorious institution under the title “the Human Will Has Triumphed Again”,” Al-Ansari said, expressing hope the meeting will come up with recommendations that will help women overcome challenges in their families and in the community.
