Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), the Public Prosecution will organise, in cooperation with the SCW, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the University of Bahrain, and the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute, a forum titled "Bahraini Women in the Judicial and Legal Fields: Excellence, Creativity, and Innovation."
The event, held as part of the national celebrations of Bahraini Women’s Day observed annually on December 1, reflects the continued progress of Bahraini women in the judicial and legal professions and the royal confidence in their vital role as partners in shaping decision-making and advancing a modern justice system founded on the rule of law.
The forum highlights the commitment of the Public Prosecution and its partners to supporting Bahraini women’s advancement and enhancing their participation in the judicial and legal sectors, in line with the Government Action Plan (2023 – 2026). It also aims to strengthen national legal identity, improve institutional efficiency, and enhance the quality of judicial and legal services provided to citizens and residents.
The event underscores Bahrain’s national commitment to empowering women and promoting their role across all sectors of development, particularly in key areas such as justice and law pillars of state-building and the rule of law. It will also shed light on women’s achievements in the legal field, promote the principles of justice and human rights protection, and support digital transformation and legal data governance within the justice system.
The forum will showcase the accomplishments of Bahraini women in judicial and legal professions, highlight their leadership in developing the justice framework, and reinforce their status as an inspiring model regionally and internationally. It will further provide a platform for sharing successful experiences and motivating the next generation of women to pursue careers in law and the judiciary.
The forum is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 26, with the participation of judges, prosecutors, representatives from judicial, legal, and academic institutions, and civil society organisations.
