Bahrain ranks third globally in Microsoft Showcase Schools recognition

The Ministry of Education secured first place regionally and third globally in the number of schools awarded the title of "Show case Schools" by Microsoft. This recognition is based on Microsoft’s global evaluation of outstanding schools that excel in employing digital technology for the year 2024.

Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, the Minister of Education, emphasized that this accomplishment reflects Bahrain's advanced stage in digital education, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the CrownPrince and Prime Minister.

Dr. Juma noted that the ministry is exploring new projects in digital education, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence and other key technological advancements.

The Microsoft report revealed that 61 schools in Bahrain received the Showcase School title in the latest cycle, including seven schools that earned it for the fourth consecutive year and 16 schools for the third consecutive year.  These schools demonstrated excellence in integrating digital tools across their educational, administrative, and technical operations, fostering innovation, and aligning with 21st-century skills, which positively impacted student outcomes.  The ministry also received an official congratulatory letter from Microsoft in recognition of this achievement.

The minister congratulated the schools on their success, commending the efforts of their teaching staff, administrative teams, and students.

He expressed hopes for continued success for all schools inBahrain and highlighted the partnership between the Ministry of Education and Microsoft, which has enhanced educational institutions by providing essential technology, developing inclusive education solutions, and supporting digital learning initiatives.
