Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Salman Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Youth Work

Established by Royal Order in 2011, the Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Salman Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Youth Work is organized biennially by the Supreme Council for Women in honor of Her Highness’s contributions to charitable, voluntary, and social work. The award aims to foster a culture of volunteerism among Bahraini youth by encouraging innovative community initiatives and recognizing outstanding individual and group volunteer projects. It promotes social solidarity, social responsibility, and active youth participation, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
