Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for the Advancement of Bahraini Women

Established by Royal Order in 2004, the award is presented biennially under the supervision of the Supreme Council for Women. In 2019, its name and categories were expanded, and it became the Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for the Advancement of Bahraini Women. The award aims to promote equal opportunities and advance Bahraini women's participation across various sectors by recognizing institutions and individuals demonstrating excellence in integrating women's needs into institutional policies and programs and supporting their participation in leadership and decision-making. It promotes gender balance and supportive working environments, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
